Who is Justin Honaman?
I make things happen…and I believe the lyrics in this song I wrote sum it up pretty well!

Makin' It Happen!
By Justin C. Honaman Copyright: March 2005

They said it couldn't be done,
I was 31, workin' 12-hour days, white collar, real,
Travel eight days a week,
Never get no sleep,
Best friend was my hot n' sexy Dell,
Said goodbye to departures, late arrivals, shirt and tie,
Hello jeans, hat n' boots in ATL,
Found the time to sing, country music's my thing,
Hello Nashville , let's raise some Hell!
…let-me-tell-ya-now…

Chorus
I'm all about makin' it happen,
I'm all about gettin' things done,
I like to get up early,
Work overtime,
Do whatever it takes,
For God n' country my life,
I'm all about makin' it happen!

Had to find the words,
Country music deserves, n' bake it in my heart n' soul to make it real,
Now I'm lovin', leavin', fishin', drinkin', smokin',
Drivin' tractors on the farm through mud n' hills, Kickin' buckets of suds, eatin' chicken, chug-a-bud,
Shine the truck, cowboy up, keep it real,

Boot scootin' Hey!
NASCAR n' God on Sunday,
I love the country, makin' music, it's a thrill,
…I'll tell you…

Chorus
Don't give me no flack,
I'm gonna push right back,
I see the world with a glass half full,
I don't need your negative energy friend,
I'm staying focused, get r' done, let's roll!
…let-me-remind-ya-now…

Chorus

Why country music?
I grew up with country music and absolutely love to tell stories when I write song lyrics. I appreciate the way country music truly can touch individuals. Growing up, I played piano for more than ten years and served as both a keyboardist and a percussionist in performing bands. I also sang in the church choir.

How would you describe your music?
I would describe my music as pop country. It's witty, fun and upbeat. I decided to title my first album “Saturday in the South!” based on my passion for college football and the title track, Saturday in the South . It is my desire that my music will inspire others to believe they can overcome any obstacle and fulfill their dreams and follow their passions.

Why did you pick the college football theme for your first album?
I absolutely love college football! It's tough to beat a Fall Saturday in the South!

Who is featured on the album?
I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Bob Bullock, Chris Leuzinger, and many other incredibly talented individuals in creating my first album. Bob's credits include more than fifty gold and platinum albums, including Reba McEntire, George Strait , Tanya Tucker, Patty Loveless, Billy Dean, John Anderson, Hank Williams Jr., Jimmy Buffet and Suzy Boggus. I also had the privilege to receive voice instruction at Jan Smith Studios in Atlanta from Heidi Higgins.

Tell us about your work with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA)
Helping children has always been close to my heart. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (www.choa.org), one of the leading pediatric hospital systems in the country, enhances the lives of children through excellence in patient care, research and education. Serving the community with more than 30 pediatric specialties, the not-for-profit organization is committed to being a model for pediatric care.

I established the Makin' Magic Happen Campaign for Kids to benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). 40 percent of album sales are donated directly to CHOA, one of the country's top children's medical organizations. In addition, Children's receives all proceeds from fundraising events.

Where can I buy the album?
The album is available for purchase through more than 40 online retail outlets including iTunes, CDBaby and many more. For access to these web links, visit www.honaman.com .

Tell us about your songwriting endeavors
I have written more than 25 songs and love writing country music. I am excited about Saturday in the South – a song all about college football in the South, Liquid Sunshine – a marketing jingle I wrote for Coca-Cola, One Pledge – a song all about the American flag, and several beach songs that I look forward to producing in my next project.
