LGLG: "One Pledge" Lyrics & Song Background

One PledgeOne Pledge. Freedom. Peace. Liberty. Sacrifice. Honor. Truth. Faith. These are words that describe our amazing country. I wrote "One Pledge" to honor those fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters that serve in our armed forces. It is easy to take for granted the sacrifices these individuals and their families make for the benefit of so many others in our amazing country. This song highlights the American flag and at the same time, centers its message on the individuals that serve every day around the world for the United States. "One Pledge" is a featured single off my upcoming album "Let Go & Let God" due for release in July 2010.

A percentage of the proceeds from sale of this single and upcoming album will be donated to the United Service Organizations (USO).

"One Pledge" Lyrics Written and Produced by Justin Honaman, John Carrozza Copyright 2010

V1 Stars rise each morning, Stripes rays of sunlight, Over the heartland, Symbol of freedom, peace and what's right, Under God she flies high as an eagle, We pledge our allegiance, Serve under her, for liberty, sacrifice, honor n' truth,

Chorus 1 Into battle on shoulders of mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, our sons and our daughters, Carries our message, of freedom and peace, Together they serve, on each other they lean, Protecting our land, sea, sky and between, In the fight now she stands, Rising for freedom, Pressing for peace,

V2 Her red, blood n' valor, White, pure n' innocence, Blue, perseverance, and together "Old Glory" she stands, Tattered, torn, weathered, faded, Blood, sweat, tears, love n' passion, Pride n' respect for A-M-E-R-I-C-A, ever she waves.

Chorus 2 Into battle on shoulders of mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, our sons and our daughters, Carries our message, of freedom and peace, Together they serve, on each other they lean, Protecting our land, sea, sky and between, In the fight now she stands, Rising for freedom, Pressing for peace,

Bridge We hold up these truths, That all men are made equal, under God, United we stand, under the stars and stripes that fly high,

Chorus 3 Into battle on shoulders of mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, our sons and our daughters, Carries our message, of freedom and peace, Together they serve, on each other they lean, Protecting our land, sea, sky and between, In the fight now she stands, In the fight now she stands, Rising for freedom, Our symbol for peace,
